Terminal Part
A conductive termination fitted to the end of a wire to provide a secure electrical and mechanical connection to another component or attachment point.
There are several types of terminals supported by harness.design:
- Ferrule: A simple metal tube that is crimped onto the end of a wire to provide a secure connection point.
- Ring Terminal: A terminal with a ring-shaped end that can be bolted or screwed onto a stud.
- Spade Terminal: A terminal with a forked end that can be easily connected and disconnected from a stud.
- Male Quick Connect: A terminal with a flat, blade-like end that can be inserted into a female quick connect.
- Female Quick Connect: A terminal with a receptacle end that accepts a male quick connect.
- Stud: A threaded rod or bolt that serves as a connection point for ring or spade terminals.
