Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of harness.design (“Service”) operated by Bundled Up Limited (company number 9413321, NZBN 9429053519184), a New Zealand registered company. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Safety and Design Tool Disclaimer

harness.design is a design and documentation tool only. It is intended to assist users in creating wiring harness diagrams and related documentation.

Bundled Up Limited does not warrant that any design produced using the Service is safe, accurate, complete, compliant with any vehicle electrical standard (including but not limited to ISO 6722, SAE wiring standards, FMVSS, or AS/NZS standards), or suitable for installation in any vehicle, machine, or electrical system.

Users bear sole responsibility for independently verifying the accuracy, safety, and regulatory compliance of all designs before manufacture and installation. No output of the Service should be treated as engineering certification or professional advice.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement.

Users under 18 must have parental or guardian consent.

4. Accounts

  • Users must provide accurate information when creating an account
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your credentials and account
  • You are responsible for all activity under your account
  • Account deletion requests can be made by emailing

5. User Content and Ownership

  • All user generated content, including wiring harness designs, belongs entirely to the user
  • Designs are private by default and are not visible to other users unless explicitly shared
  • You may share a harness by making it public (viewable by anyone with the link) or by inviting specific email addresses to view it in read-only mode
  • Only the harness owner can edit a harness. Shared users have read-only access
  • Shared users may duplicate a harness to their own account. The duplicate becomes an independent design under their full ownership, entirely separate from the original
  • You may revoke email-based access to your harness at any time
  • By using the Service, you grant harness.design the right to access your designs for support, debugging, and technical analysis
  • You are solely responsible for the legality, reliability, accuracy, and appropriateness of your designs and content. You bear all risks associated with your content, including any consequences arising from the manufacture or physical installation of designs created using the Service

6. Feedback

Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas you submit to Bundled Up Limited regarding the Service may be used by Bundled Up Limited freely and without restriction, obligation, compensation, or attribution to you.

7. Permitted Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You may not:

  • Reverse engineer or copy the Service
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
  • Upload illegal, harmful, or offensive content
  • Attempt to access other users’ accounts or data

8. Cookies and Technical Requirements

The Service uses essential cookies only. These are required for authentication, maintaining user sessions, and core functionality. Disabling cookies in your browser may prevent the Service from functioning correctly.

9. Communications

By creating an account, you agree that we may send you marketing communications and product updates by email. You may unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link included in any such email. Unsubscribing from marketing emails does not affect transactional emails related to your account or subscription.

10. Payment and Subscriptions

Plans

The Service is offered under two plans:

  • Free Plan: Available at no cost. Limited to 100 connections per harness.
  • Pro Plan: $29 USD per month (billed monthly) or $288 USD per year (billed annually). Provides unlimited connections.

Payment processing

Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. By subscribing to the Pro Plan, you agree to Stripe’s terms of service and privacy policy. harness.design does not store your card details.

Billing

Pro Plan subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period. You will be charged on the same date each month or year unless you cancel before renewal.

Cancellation

You may cancel your Pro Plan subscription at any time. Your plan will remain active until the end of your current billing period. After that, your account reverts to the Free Plan. No refunds are issued for unused time within a paid billing period.

Effect of downgrade

If your account reverts to the Free Plan, any harness exceeding 100 connections will no longer accept new connections until the total is reduced below the limit. You can still use and edit those harnesses, but adding new connections will be restricted.

11. Plan Modifications and Pricing

Features and plan limits

Bundled Up Limited reserves the right to modify, add, or remove features, functionality, or limits associated with any plan at any time, including the Free Plan and the Pro Plan. The connection limit applicable to the Free Plan is an operational parameter of the Service and does not constitute a permanent entitlement. Connection limits and other plan parameters may be adjusted at our discretion.

Notice of changes to paid plans

Where a change would materially reduce the features or functionality available to Pro Plan subscribers, we will provide at least 30 days’ prior notice by email to the address associated with your account or by posting a prominent notice on the Service. Annual subscribers will not have plan features reduced before the start of their next annual renewal date, provided that notice of the change has been given.

Changes that affect only the Free Plan may be made with shorter notice or without prior notice.

Pricing changes

We may change the price of the Pro Plan by giving at least 30 days’ prior notice. Any price change will take effect at the start of your next billing cycle following the notice period. If you do not agree to a price change, you may cancel your subscription before the new price takes effect and you will not be charged at the updated rate.

No guarantee of plan continuity

We do not guarantee that any plan, feature set, pricing, or limit will remain unchanged indefinitely. Grandfathering of current plan terms for existing subscribers is not guaranteed. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of those changes.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. Bundled Up Limited expressly disclaims all implied warranties, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.

Bundled Up Limited does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from harmful components, or that any designs produced using the Service are accurate or fit for any purpose.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bundled Up Limited (operating as harness.design) and its affiliates, directors, employees, and contractors are not liable for:

  • Any loss or damage arising from your use of the Service
  • Loss of designs, data, or functionality
  • Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Personal injury or property damage arising from the use or installation of any design produced using the Service
  • Loss of revenue, profit, or business opportunity

This limitation applies regardless of the theory of liability and even if Bundled Up Limited has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

14. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Bundled Up Limited and its directors, employees, and contractors from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal costs) arising out of or in connection with:

  • Your use of the Service
  • Your designs or content
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • The manufacture, installation, or use of any physical harness produced based on designs created using the Service

15. Termination

  • We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms
  • Users may request account deletion via email

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. The courts of New Zealand have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service.

17. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be posted on this page. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
