This release lets you connect an AI assistant to your harness.design account, so it can work on your harnesses alongside you.
AI Assistants
Connect Claude , ChatGPT or any MCP-compatible assistant from Preferences → AI. The assistant signs in as you, so it sees exactly the harnesses you see — your own, plus anything shared with you or belonging to your team — and never anyone else’s work.
Once it’s connected, anything the assistant changes appears in your editor live, while you watch. An indicator shows when an assistant is editing, and Undo works exactly as it does for your own changes.
This is an experimental beta feature. Assistants can make mistakes, so review what they change, and create a revision before a large edit so you can roll back.

Adding parts to your library
Add the full catalog of Deutsch DTM connectors to my parts library. Be sure to include required accessories such as wedgelocks, and include the compatible contacts.
Adding a device
Add the Link G5 Voodoo Neo 4 ECU to my harness. Use the correct connectors from TE, referring to Link’s documentation.
Importing from Excel
Import this harness into harness.design. It was created in Excel.
Attach the spreadsheet to your message and the assistant reads it and recreates the harness.
Support questions
In harness.design I have a connector with different gauge wires coming into it. How do I assign different contact sizes to a single connector?
