harness.design is no longer in Beta!

We launched the beta at the end of October 2025. Since then, we’ve been building and refining the tool based on feedback from the community.

With the full release, we’ve introduced a Pro plan to support continued development of the tool.

Pro Plan

harness.design now has a Pro Plan for larger harnesses.

The Free Plan remains available with unlimited harnesses and parts, but is limited to 100 connections per harness.

Part Pricing

Parts can now have a price assigned. For parts sold by length, a per-unit price can be set. The Unit Price and Total Price columns in the Parts View show the cost per part and the total cost across the harness.

The currency symbol can be customised under Harness Settings.

Select Wires on Net

All the wires on the same net can be selected. This makes assigning a Wire Part across a net significantly easier.

Wires Route through Connectors

In the old system wires would not route through a Connector, a Branch Point was required. See example below:

Privacy Policy & Terms of Service

The Privacy Policy and Terms of Service have been updated.

Here’s a summary of what’s changed.

Paid plans are now live. harness.design is now free with a Pro upgrade. Free accounts are limited to 100 connections per harness. Pro is $29/month or $288/year (billed annually) for unlimited connections.
Our Terms now explicitly state that harness.design is a documentation tool only. All designs should be independently verified for safety and compliance before manufacture or installation.

We’ve named our data processors explicitly — Supabase (storage), Stripe (payments), and Resend (email). NZ users also now have documented rights under the Privacy Act 2020.
