This release brings a completely redesigned Layout view, new Signals functionality, and a range of improvements to how you build and annotate your harnesses, including bundle labels, branch point parts, notes, connector rotation, and a refreshed Open Harness interface.
New Layout View
The Layout screen has had a ground-up redesign. We’ve replaced the box-based connector system with diagrammatic connector and terminal representations, added vertical bundle routing, and thicker bundle lines. The result is a layout that actually resembles the physical harness you’re building.
Signals
Label the electrical signals on your conductors (e.g. VCC, CAN H). Assign a signal to a cavity or terminal and it automatically propagates across the same net — no more entering the same label at every connection point. Signals replace net labels. Check out the docs for a more detailed description and walkthrough videos.
Notes
You can add notes directly to your Layout and Schematic views to capture any additional information alongside your design.
Branch Point Parts
Assign boots and coverings directly to branch points in your harness layout. Multiple coverings can be assigned to a single branch point, giving you an accurate representation of how the harness is built.
Bundle Labels
Add labels to bundles anywhere on your harness. Call out connector function, mark the main trunk with a harness model name, or identify where a section routes to in the vehicle. If it needs a label, now you can add one.
Open Harness Interface
Harnesses are now displayed with thumbnails for easier selection. You can rename, share, and delete harnesses directly from this view.
Connector / Terminal Rotation
Connectors and terminals can now be rotated 90° in the Schematic view, giving you more flexibility in how you arrange your schematic and making it easier to read.
Other Improvements
- Loose wire end has been added as a terminal type — Read more…
- Terminals have been simplified to reduce their size on the schematic
- Splices are on the layout view and easier to locate — Read more…
- URL link field added to all parts for linking to manufacturer, supplier, or datasheet
- The ID of branch points can be shown on the layout and schematic views — Read more…
- Alternative measurement units can be entered, such as the US screw gauge
- Stud has been removed as a terminal type, as studs are not part of a harness but rather what it connects to; these have been migrated to ring terminals
Privacy Policy & Terms of Service
The Privacy Policy and Terms of Service have been updated to reflect the sharing features introduced in the February 2026 release. Both documents now describe public link sharing, email-based sharing, read-only access for shared users, and access revocation.
