Ferrule Part
A simple metal tube that is crimped onto the end of a wire to provide a secure connection point. Ferrules prevent wire strands from fraying and ensure a reliable connection in screw terminal blocks or similar attachment points.

For size, you can enter the following units (set the default unit under Main Menu → Settings → Harness settings):

Configurations
Like a Connector Part, each ferrule part has a Default Configuration and can have more named configurations. A configuration lists the Boots and Coverings that go with the part, any number of each, and they are applied to every component using that configuration. For example, add a “With heat shrink” configuration and choose it for the ferrules that need heat shrink.
Configurations are edited in the part’s details in the same way as connector configurations. When you assign the part, the dropdown lists each of its configurations. See Configurations.
