Cavity Plug Part
A blind plug fitted into a connector cavity that has no wire, sealing it against moisture and dust. Where a Contact fills a wired cavity, a cavity plug fills an empty one.

Assigning a Cavity Plug Part
A connector cavity holds exactly one part: a Contact when a wire or mate is connected to it, or a cavity plug when nothing is. Both are normally set once on the Connector Configuration: the configuration’s Contact is applied automatically to every cavity that has a connection and its Cavity Plug to every cavity that has none, so a cavity switches between the two as you wire it up or disconnect it. Cavities marked N/C count as having no connection and receive the cavity plug.
To override a single cavity, left-click the part bar at the right of the cavity on a Connector Component. The picker lists both your contacts and your cavity plugs; choose either, create a new one, or select Don’t use default part to leave the cavity empty. Overridden parts show in full color, defaults in grey.
Cavity plugs are counted in the BOM per cavity, exactly like contacts.
