Seats

A seat grants a team member full Enterprise access — including the ability to edit the team’s harnesses. Your team’s seats come from the quantity on the owner’s Enterprise subscription.

Allocating and unassigning seats

In the Team tab, the seat counter shows how many seats are allocated out of your total pool. Use the options menu next to a member to Assign seat or Unassign seat.

• The owner always holds a seat and can’t release it while subscribed to Enterprise.
• Seats reserved by pending invitations count against the pool too.
• You can’t allocate more seats than your subscription provides — add seats from Manage seats & billing if you need more.

What members see

A member with a seat has access to Enterprise features everywhere they use harness.design and can open and edit the team’s harnesses. A member without a seat can still see the team and its harnesses, but those harnesses are read-only for them until the owner assigns them a seat.
