Student Team Sponsorship

Apply for a sponsorship to receive 12 months free access to a harness.design Pro Plan for your student competition team.

How it works

One team member applies on behalf of the entire team and supplies a university email address. That address is where the sponsorship is applied, so choose one the team is happy to have as the account owner.

Applications are manually reviewed and may take up to 5 business days. Once your application is approved we flag that email address on our end and send you a confirmation email. Your access starts at that moment:

• If a harness.design account already exists with that address, it becomes Pro as soon as the approval email lands.
• If not, create an account with that address any time after approval and it will be Pro from the moment you sign up.

Sponsorships run for 12 months from approval. To renew, email us in the final month and we’ll roll it over for another year.

Seats

The sponsored account owns your team and holds a pool of Pro seats. The owner invites teammates by email and assigns them seats, and seated members get full Pro access and can edit the team’s harnesses. Everyone you invite must be an active member of your student team for the current season.

Our default is one seat per team. If your team needs more, you can request up to 5 in total, and the form asks you to explain why you need them and how you plan to feature us. Extra seats cost us considerably more, so please weigh that against the visibility you can offer in return.

What We Ask of You

Student competition teams are doing exactly the kind of work we built harness.design for, and this sponsorship is our way of supporting that.

In return, we don’t ask for anything specific. But if the tool has helped your team, we’d love it if you shared that where it feels natural. Whether that’s mentioning it to a friend or teammate, talking about your wiring process in a forum or build thread, or simply letting others in the industry know what you’re using and why, that means a lot to us.

And if you want to go further, we’d be genuinely thrilled. A logo on the car or rocket, a sponsor credit on your team website, a post about how you’re using it. None of it is required, but all of it is deeply appreciated.

This matters more the larger your sponsorship gets. If you’ve asked for extra seats, we’re trusting that the visibility you described in your application is something you’ll follow through on.

Terms

• You are currently a student at a recognized educational institution
• You are currently a member of a recognized student competition team actively competing in the current season
• The sponsorship is applied to the university email address supplied in the application. If that address changes, or the person holding it leaves the team, email us and we’ll move it across
• The sponsored account and its seats must be used exclusively by active members of the applying team, and only for work related to that team’s competition activities
• The sponsorship provides 12 months free access to the harness.design Pro Plan, starting from the date your account is flagged
• Teams receive one seat by default, and up to 5 in total where the request is justified in the application
• Your team can hold one active sponsorship at a time. To renew, email us in the final month and we’ll roll it over for another year if your team is still actively competing
• No payment details are required at any point, and no charges are ever made. When the 12 months end, the account reverts to the Free plan
• Sponsorships may be revoked if misused or if eligibility cannot be verified
• This sponsorship cannot be combined with any other discounts or promotional offers
