Covering Part

A covering part is used to wrap or cover a Bundle or Branch Point. These parts are applied and can be seen in the Layout View.

There are several types of coverings supported by harness.design:

• Heatshrink - A heat-activated sleeve that shrinks to conform tightly around wires or bundles for insulation and strain relief.
• Tape - A flexible adhesive or self-fusing tape wrapped around wires or bundles for protection and bundling.
• Corrugated Tubing - A ribbed, flexible conduit that protects wire bundles from abrasion and allows routing flexibility.
• Spiral Wrap - A helically wound strip that wraps around a bundle for abrasion protection while allowing branch-outs.
• Tubing - A smooth-walled flexible sleeve that encloses a wire bundle for protection and organisation.
• Braided Sleeve - An expandable woven sleeve that provides flexible, high-coverage protection for wire bundles.
