Parts Library

The Parts Library contains parts that are shared across all your harnesses. Parts in the part library can be added to your harness, or parts in your harness can be added to the library.

The part library uses the part number to keep track of parts.

Buttons

• Add part - Adds a new part to the Parts library
• Columns - Hide/ show part details in the library

Opening the Parts Library

To open the parts library, either open it through the Main Menu -> Parts Library, click the Parts Library button at the bottom left of the Parts view, or press the L key on the keyboard.

Adding a Part to the Library

To add a part to the parts library, click the Plus button in the bottom left corner

Adding a Part from your harness to the Parts Library

• Click the Not in Parts Library button on the part you wish to add in the Parts view
• right click on the part you wish to add in the Parts view and select Add to Parts Library

Adding a part from the Parts Library to your harness

Open the Parts Library

• Click the Not in harness document button on the part you wish to add to your harness
• right click on the part you wish to add to your harness and Add to harness document

Part Syncing

If a part has the same part number in your harness and the parts library, it is considered the same part.

A part is considered in sync if all the properties are the same.

In Sync

If a part in your harness is in sync with the Parts Library it will show

• Synced with Parts Library in your harness
• Synced with harness document in your Parts Library

Out of Sync

If a part in your harness is out of sync with the Parts Library it will show

• Out of sync with Parts Library in your harness
• Out of sync with Parts Library in your Parts Library

Part Updating

If a part in your harness is out of sync with the parts library you can either push or pull it

Push to Parts Library Updates the parts library to match this part in your harness

Pull from Parts Library Updates this part in your harness to match the parts library
